Not Again! Farm

We had picture day at Happy Tails on Monday.  It was a big day for all of us.  All of the Cavaliers got to go to the shop and get groomed.  After their bathes and hair styles, we walked over to the photographers.  It was an interesting hour.

I really don’t know how they get these great pictures of dogs sitting royally on their little pillows.  Mine were EVERYWHERE.  It was like trying to hold an armful of worms still.  The photographers were trying to position them just so and he would get one fixed and say “good dog” and the other three would jump up to lick his face.  Then he would get those settled down and say something and we would be at it again.

I finally gave up and told him to step back.  I got all the dogs on the table, got out the clicker and told them to sit. I think (hope) we got some really cute pictures but I think the best ones were of three beautiful Cavalier faces and one Cavalier back as one jumped off the table.

The Cavaliers thought it was a hoot.  They got to jump up on the table, and play kissy face with new people.  They got to sniff new toys and they got treats.  And, while the photographers seemed to take it all in stride, they caused Mom great stress.

We get to see the pictures on February 1.  I can’t wait.  I really hope we got at least one good shot of the 4 of them.
