Dog Snow

January 8th, 2008 · No Comments

I did manage to get the polyester dog snow cleaned up from my yard.  I even said a few words over the unstuffed gorilla before I put him in the bag.  The Cavaliers were pretty sad about me throwing away all their handiwork but the yard looks much better.

My shed cleaning activities got off to a blazing good start yesterday.  The weather was so gorgeous yesterday afternoon that I was out in shirt sleeves.  I got as far as the collecting stage.  Everything in all the boxes is now out and in the middle of the shed floor.

The ShedI got a little distracted during the taking out the really essential stuff as there were things I hadn’t seen in years.  All of my old show photos and pictures of the kids.  I thought they had burnt up in the fire years ago.

I found the pan to the toaster oven so now when I fix a biscuit in it, the biscuit wont drip thru the wires.  I even found the silver tea service wrapped up in a box of sheets.  I can’t believe that I left it out in the shed this long but it was well wrapped and not even tarnished.

I actually think I created more mess than I cleaned up. Hmmm, maybe I had better read the four laws of simplifying my life again.  Today is a new day and I am working this morning.  I have two of my favorite schnauzers coming in today.

While it’s warm, I want to try to get the square foot gardens set up.  I have some big thick boards from out of the tractor shed that will be perfect for making them.  I have lots of manure…. uh, compost, to mix in the soil and it will need to sit for a few months before I plant anything in it.

I love the warm weather!!
